Biography

Kevin ‘GK’ Frederick is a cinematographer who is deeply attuned to the soul of an image — the intangible essence that resonates beyond what is visible. Through his work, he seeks to explore and deepen his understanding of the human experience, using cinema as his medium of expression.

Growing up in Antigua & Barbuda laid the foundation for his visual language as an image-maker. During this time, he developed a passion for philosophy, photography, art, culture and filmmaking. Later, he moved to New York City, where he was born, to further pursue his goal of becoming a filmmaker.

Above all, GK seeks to collaborate with artists & storytellers that contribute to the evolution of humanity.

I saw that the camera could be a weapon against poverty, against racism, against all sorts of social wrongs. I knew at that point I had to have a camera.
